Birds of the Midwest

I enjoy the challenges of photographing birds of all types. Larger birds, like cranes, egrets, and herons, are so interesting to watch as they hunt for food and raise their families. Smaller birds, like the ones that come to our feeders, are fun to watch and are a real challenge to photograph well.

My favorite locations to photograph birds are Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge in the Big Lake/Zimmerman, MN, area, Silverwood Park in St. Anthony, MN, and more recently, in my own front yard in Buffalo, MN.
